Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Hyperbaric Safety Coordinator to supervise the daily operation and maintenance of the hyperbaric chambers and related equipment.

The role includes providing hyperbaric training to nursing and technical staff, ensuring patient safety and compliance with safety procedures. A formal NBDHMT course or military training plus 2+ years in chamber operations are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an NBDHMT recognized introductory hyperbaric medicine course or equivalent military training.
• Two or more years of experience in the operation and maintenance of monoplace hyperbaric chambers.
• Basic computer skills; ability to read and communicate effectively; problem solving; verbal and written communication; teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Daily operation and maintenance of the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related equipment.
• Provide oversight for hyperbaric operations to ensure patient safety and chamber safety.
• Provide hyperbaric training to nursing and technical personnel on safe chamber operations, maintenance procedures and safety processes.
