Job summary

Mayo Clinic is hiring a Hyperbaric Safety Coordinator to oversee daily operation and maintenance of hyperbaric chambers and related equipment. You will ensure patient safety and chamber safety while leading training for nursing and technical staff.

The role requires completion of an NBDHMT introductory hyperbaric medicine course or equivalent military training, plus at least two years of monoplace chamber experience and relevant certifications. On-site in Altoona, WI.

Qualifications

• Completion of an NBDHMT recognized introductory hyperbaric medicine course or equivalent military training.
• Two or more years of experience in operation and maintenance of monoplace hyperbaric chambers.
• Knowledge of standards and codes related to hyperbaric facilities and U.S. Navy Diving Manuals.
• License approved by NBDHMT to qualify for CHT Certification (EMT, LPN, LVN, RT, RN).
• CHT certification required at time of hire; course to be completed within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain hyperbaric chamber(s) and related equipment daily.
• Provide oversight for hyperbaric operations ensuring patient and chamber safety.
• Provide hyperbaric training to nursing and technical staff.
