Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Hyperbaric Safety Coordinator to oversee daily operation and maintenance of hyperbaric chambers and related equipment. You will ensure patient safety and chamber safety, and provide training to nursing and technical staff on safe chamber operations and procedures.

The role requires completion of an NBDHMT introductory hyperbaric medicine course or equivalent, plus 2+ years of chamber experience. Flexible hours and teamwork are valued at Mayo Clinic.

Qualifications

• Completion of an NBDHMT recognized introductory hyperbaric medicine course or equivalent military training.
• Two or more years of experience in the operation and maintenance of monoplace hyperbaric chambers.
• Knowledge of standards and codes related to hyperbaric facilities and U.S. Navy Diving Manuals; problem solving and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation and maintenance of hyperbaric chamber(s) and related equipment.
• Provide oversight for hyperbaric operations ensuring patient safety and chamber safety.
• Train nursing and technical staff on safe hyperbaric chamber operations, maintenance procedures and safety processes.
