Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Hyperbaric Safety Coordinator to ensure safe operation and maintenance of the hyperbaric chamber(s). You will provide training to nursing and technical staff, oversee safety protocols, and coordinate daily operations to protect patients and personnel.

Expected to have an NBDHMT course or equivalent, with 2+ years in chamber operations; certification as CHT is required at hire; leadership development within 18 months is preferred.

Qualifications

Completion of an NBDHMT recognized introductory hyperbaric medicine course or equivalent military training.
Two or more years of experience in the operation and maintenance of monoplace hyperbaric chambers.
Flexibility with hours, basic computer skills, ability to read and communicate effectively, problem solving, verbal and written communication and team building, basic improvement concepts and techniques.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operation and maintenance of hyperbaric chamber(s) and related equipment.
Provide oversight for hyperbaric operations to ensure patient safety and chamber safety.
Provide hyperbaric training to nursing and technical personnel on safe chamber operations and maintenance procedures.
