Job summary

Mayo Clinic seeks a Hyperbaric Safety Coordinator to manage daily hyperbaric chamber operations and ensure patient and equipment safety. You will oversee safe practices and provide training to nursing and technical staff in hyperbaric procedures.

Ideal candidates have NBDHMT course exposure, 2+ years of monoplace chamber experience, and strong teamwork abilities to support multiple Mayo Clinic campuses.

Qualifications

• Completion of an NBDHMT recognized introductory hyperbaric medicine course or equivalent military training.
• Two or more years of experience in the operation and maintenance of monoplace hyperbaric chambers.
• Additional qualifications: flexible hours, basic computer skills, effective reading/writing communication, problem solving, teamwork, basic improvement concepts; knowledge of hyperbaric facility standards and U.S. Navy Diving Manuals; leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation and maintenance of hyperbaric chamber(s) and related equipment; ensure patient safety and safe chamber operations.
• Provide hyperbaric training to nursing and technical personnel on safe chamber operations and procedures.
