Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Hyperbaric Safety Coordinator to manage the daily operation and maintenance of the hyperbaric chamber and related equipment. This role ensures patient safety and oversees chamber operations, with training provided to nursing and technical personnel.

The position requires completion of an NBDHMT introductory hyperbaric medicine course and at least two years of experience in monoplace hyperbaric chamber operations, plus CHT certification at hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of an NBDHMT recognized introductory hyperbaric medicine course or equivalent military training.
• Two or more years of experience in the operation and maintenance of monoplace hyperbaric chambers.
• License approved by NBDHMT to qualify for CHT Certification (EMT, LPN, LVN, RT, RN). Certification as Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation and maintenance of hyperbaric chamber(s) and related equipment, ensuring patient safety and chamber safety.
• Provide hyperbaric training to nursing and technical staff on safe chamber operations and maintenance procedures.
