Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Hyperbaric Safety Coordinator to manage daily hyperbaric chamber operations and oversee safety protocols. The role involves training nursing and technical staff, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining hyperbaric equipment in a hospital setting.

Ideal candidates will have an NBDHMT-recognized hyperbaric medicine course and at least two years of monoplace chamber experience, with flexibility in hours and strong teamwork abilities. Leadership experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an NBDHMT recognized introductory hyperbaric medicine course or equivalent military training.
• Two or more years of experience operating and maintaining monoplace hyperbaric chambers.
• Flexibility with hours, basic computer skills, reading and effective written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with standards and codes related to hyperbaric facilities and U.S. Navy Diving Manuals.
• Preferred: leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily operation and maintenance of the hyperbaric chambers and related equipment.
• Provide oversight for hyperbaric operations to ensure patient safety.
• Provide hyperbaric training to nursing and technical staff on safe chamber operations.
