Job summary

Superior Hydrovac is seeking a Hydrovac Operator to lead hydro excavation projects across multiple sites. You will operate hydro excavation trucks, expose utilities, perform trenching, and supervise labors to ensure safety and efficiency.

The role requires a Class A CDL with air brake and tanker endorsements and at least 1 year of related experience. You will complete documentation, perform inspections, and adhere to safety protocols in a non-exempt, on-site work environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic underground utilities.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
• Ability to communicate in a team environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform daily maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Complete hydro excavation projects including utility line exposure, debris removal, trenching, and digging.
• Operate Hydrovac trucks and equipment in a safe, professional manner.
• Supervise Hydrovac Laborers to support skill development.
• Set up and inspect grounding/bonding procedures for Hydrovac operations.
• Complete all required paperwork promptly and accurately.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and routine maintenance.
• Expose underground utilities for HDD work and related trenching activities.
