Job summary

Superior Hydrovac is seeking a Hydrovac Swamper to join our crew. The role involves working in residential and commercial areas on underground utilities, executing hydro excavation tasks under the direction of the crew, and ensuring safety and quality in all operations.

Candidates should be able to perform heavy manual labor, lift up to 80 lbs, and operate heavy equipment safely. A standard driver’s license is required, and background checks will be conducted as part of the pre-employment

Qualifications

Experience with hydro excavation or similar heavy-labor tasks recommended.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Capable of lifting up to 80 lbs and performing physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

Complete hydro excavation tasks including exposing utilities, debris removal, trenching, and digging.
Supervise Hydrovac Swamper activities to support skill development.
Set up and inspect grounding for Hydrovac operation.
Complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
Assist with potholing, pole holes, and trench work as needed.
Expose underground utilities for new placement and maintenance work.
