Job summary

HDR's Hydropower Engineering group in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Hydropower Structural EIT/Designer to support design and construction activities on reinforced concrete and structural steel projects. You will work with senior engineers and inspectors to advance critical hydropower infrastructure.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's in Structural Engineering; EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months; local candidates preferred; strong proficiency with AutoCAD and structural analysis software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering is required.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months is required.
• Internship or full-time experience in structural design is a plus.
• Preference for local candidates.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Engineer with design and analysis of reinforced concrete and/or structural steel.
• Assist with compiling engineering reports and memos.
• Assist with note taking and photo documentation of active construction.
• Perform routine design tasks using ACI, AISC standards.
