Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. seeks a Structural Designer to join the Energy and Resources Design Team.

You will contribute to multidisciplinary projects across North America and globally, with a focus on hydropower, dams, water resources, and marine infrastructure. Under supervision of a Senior Designer or Engineer, you will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality design solutions and mentor junior designers while expanding your career within a leading global design

Qualifications

Graduate of a technical or college program in design/drafting or equivalent experience.
6–12 years in engineering consulting or construction.
Experience with hydropower, dams, navigation structures, marine infrastructure, naval facilities or waterfront projects preferred.
Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD; CAD/BIM tools like Recap, Civil 3D, Navisworks, ACC/Forma, Inventor; familiarity with Reality Capture and GIS.

Responsibilities

Understand and apply Stantec Safety Culture and health/safety standards.
Perform modeling, drafting and structural design tasks for diverse projects.
Deliver project deliverables on budget and schedule.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams to produce quality designs.
Support hydroelectric, dam, spillway, navigation, marine, dry dock and waterfront projects.
