Job summary
Stantec is seeking an intermediate-level Civil/Hydrologic and Hydraulic Engineer to join our hydropower and dams group in Southern California (Pasadena, Irvine, or San Diego offices). You will work with multi-disciplinary teams on feasibility studies, detailed design, and construction support for dam, hydroelectric, and water resources projects.
The successful candidate will analyze hydraulic systems, develop designs, and prepare reports while collaborating with engineers and geologists.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of work experience in civil/hydrologic and hydraulics engineering; dams experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- California Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.
Responsibilities
- Perform civil, hydrologic, and hydraulic engineering analyses and modeling for dam, hydroelectric, and energy-related projects.
- Prepare engineering designs, sketches, and construction drawings.
- Assist with feasibility studies and prepare technical reports and quantities/cost estimates.
