Job summary

Harwich Port Heating & Cooling is seeking an experienced Hydronic Heating Technician to join our Cape Cod HVAC team. This position is responsible for servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing residential and light commercial hydronic heating systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with boilers, hot water heating systems, and related equipment, along with excellent troubleshooting skills and a commitment to quality workmanship and customer service.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years hands-on experience servicing hydronic heating systems.
Strong experience with boilers and hot water heating systems.
Experience troubleshooting circulator pumps, zone valves, expansion tanks, and controls.
Knowledge of residential and light commercial hydronic heating equipment.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently.
Safety-conscious and dependable with strong problem-solving ability.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on residential and light commercial hydronic heating systems.
Diagnose and repair boilers, circulator pumps, zone valves, expansion tanks, and related components.
Service and maintain hot water baseboard and radiant floor heating systems.
Troubleshoot heating system controls, thermostats, pumps, and piping issues.
Perform boiler installations, replacements, and system upgrades.
Identify and resolve heating system issues to ensure safe operation.
Conduct system diagnostics, pressure testing, and efficiency evaluations.
Respond to emergency service calls as needed and maintain accurate service records.
Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs and recommendations.
Ensure all work complies with Massachusetts regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.
