Cogent Analytics Inc. seeks an experienced Boiler & Heating Service Technician in Baltimore to diagnose, repair, and maintain steam and hot water heating systems for residential and light commercial customers.

You will perform seasonal maintenance, safety inspections, combustion analysis, and efficiency evaluations; install near-boiler piping and controls; and troubleshoot burners, circulators, zone valves, and safety devices while prioritizing safety and quality workmanship.

Formación

• Demonstrated experience servicing, repairing, or installing steam and/or hot water heating systems.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and an understanding of piping and heat distribution.
• Ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical components associated with boiler operation.
• Familiarity with heating system safety controls and proper service procedures.
• Ability to communicate professionally with residential and commercial customers.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuing professional development.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial steam and hot water heating systems.
• Service natural gas and oil-fired boilers, depending on experience.
• Diagnose and repair burners, ignition systems, gas valves, circulators, zone valves, aquastats, pressure controls, and safety devices.
• Troubleshoot steam heating problems, including water hammer, uneven heating, venting deficiencies, and condensate return issues.
• Diagnose hydronic heating problems involving circulation, air elimination, expansion tanks, zoning, and system pressure.
• Perform seasonal maintenance, safety inspections, combustion analysis, and efficiency evaluations.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and longevity.
