Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen or National required.
  • Background investigation and favorable adjudication.
  • Males must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Direct Deposit and E-Verify required.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and meet physical fitness standards.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine measurements of stage and discharge using established methods.
  • Reviews gage-height data and plots hydrographs for comparison.
  • Installs and maintains sensing and recording equipment and instrumentation.
  • Assists in establishing vertical and horizontal datums.
  • Enters and analyzes surface-water, groundwater, and water-quality data using databases and spreadsheets.
  • Maintains accurate files supporting data in USGS databases.
  • Duties are developmental below full performance level.
