Job summary

The United States Geological Survey in Utah's Moab Field Office seeks a Supervisory Hydrologic Technician within the Utah Water Science Center. You will supervise data collection activities, ensure adherence to technical policies, deadlines, and budgets, and provide guidance to staff.

Position requires travel up to five nights per month and possession of a government travel card. The salary range is GS-12 Step 01 ($89,508) to Step 10 ($116,362); first-time hires usually start at Step 1.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising data collection teams.
• Ability to travel overnight up to 5 nights per month.
• Knowledge of hydrologic data collection methods and field safety.

Responsibilities
