Job summary

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to perform field measurements and data review.
• Willingness to travel up to 10 nights per month.
• Experience with basic data management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine measurements of stage and discharge under various field conditions.
• Reviews gage-height data and discharge measurements for accuracy and plots hydrographs.
• Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots sensing, recording, and communications equipment.
• Assists in establishing vertical and horizontal datums using established procedures.
• Enters, retrieves, edits, and analyzes surface-water, groundwater, and water-quality data.
• Maintains current and accurate files supporting data stored in USGS databases.
• Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
