Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for Hydrogen Systems with a focus on pre-construction and permitting. You will coordinate with 3rd-party engineers, permitting agencies, and contractors to keep schedules and revenue forecasts on track.

The role requires a strong background in construction project management, pre-construction workflows, and up to 100% travel. A BS in engineering is required; PMP certification is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires BS degree in engineering and PMP certification is highly preferred.
• 3+ years in project-based engineering and construction PM with pre-construction experience.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 100% of the time; experience interfacing with AHJs.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction phase, drive 3rd-party engineering, secure contractor bids, and navigate permitting.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets; resolve bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with industrial gas companies, internal teams, contractors, and regulators to ensure timely approvals.
• Preserve high-quality submittals and communicate project expectations and risks.
• Represent Plug Power professionally at regulatory hearings and customer interactions.
