Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Commissioning & Maintenance Specialist to perform commissioning, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hydrogen storage systems, electrolyzers, and stationary equipment at customer sites.

This is a heavy travel role (up to 100%) requiring on‑call readiness and strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, with the goal of keeping hydrogen production running around the clock.

Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of experience in construction, repair, or maintenance in an electrical, industrial, or mechanical field.
• Associates degree or vocational degree in engineering, electronics, pressurized systems or other applicable field preferred.
• Or in lieu of a degree, 2 additional years of construction, repair, or maintenance experience in an electrical, industrial, or mechanical field.
• Ability to travel as needed to carry out duties of the position – up to 100%.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, test and commission Plug Power products.
• Lead high-level service repair projects on hydrogen infrastructure, including tank and jacket repairs.
• Train customers and staff on troubleshooting, maintenance, and service of Hydrogen infrastructure.
• Interpret electrical wiring schematics and P&IDs; conduct pressure tests per ASME standards.
• Document test results and close out project tasks; monitor safety of operations.
