Plug Power Inc. in Slingerlands, NY seeks a Manager, Process Engineering to lead the design and improvement of hydrogen generation, storage, and distribution systems. You will own process architecture, safety analyses, and documentation across global teams, driving high‑quality engineering outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in process engineering, strong leadership, and experience with P&IDs, risk assessments, and cross‑functional program management. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of system or process engineering experience.
• Two+ years supervisory experience.
• Experience with hydrogen and/or fuel cells and high‑pressure gas systems.
• Experience generating/leading P&IDs, PFDs, material and energy balances, process simulations, and risk assessments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of Plug Power products’ designs and applicable codes & standards.
• Own quality and documentation of engineering work product including P&IDs, controls strategies, HAZOPs, sub-system & major equipment specifications, FAT procedures, PSSRs, SAT tests, and O&M manuals.
• Hire and develop a direct team, acting as a resource and mentor for technical guidance.
• Lead a structured, interdisciplinary approach for project execution from requirements to verification testing.
• Develop work processes and align resources across departments and geographies.
• Provide updates to senior leadership on development progress and escalate priority issues.
