Job summary

Plug Power Inc. in New York State seeks a Senior Controls Engineer to develop, deploy, and optimize SCADA/HMI/PLC software for hydrogen generation and storage systems. You will manage data from field assets, lead software releases, and train users on interfaces and troubleshooting to improve reliability.

The role requires strong PLC/HMI programming skills, experience with Schneider/Allen-Bradley tools, and travel up to 20% to support customer sites.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in HMI/PLC solutions for field applications.
• Experience with gas processing or refueling systems preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy software for hydrogen systems focusing on process control.
• Create and manage HMIs and PLC programs for field equipment.
• Perform data acquisition and interpretation of system information.
• Lead software deployments and train users on interfacing and troubleshooting.
