Job summary

Eagle Creek Hydro Operations, LLC is seeking a Hydro Plant Technician to support the operation of a hydro-electric power plant and related water intakes. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and reliability in daily plant and intake inspections, equipment start/stop, and routine maintenance.

Responsibilities include coordinating with teams, logging events, and responding to alarms at any time.

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience in a power plant or industrial setting preferred.
• Unwavering commitment to safety for employees, contractors, and public.
• Experience with instrumentation and control systems, PLC troubleshooting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily plant and intake inspections.
• Start and stop generating units and auxiliary equipment per procedures.
• Conduct safety inspections and monitor security systems; keep logs/reports.
• Operate heavy equipment and various hand/power tools including chain saws.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to support plant reliability.
• Work on rotating schedule covering weekends and holidays.
• Assist in developing plant safety and JSA procedures.
• Respond to alarms and emergent plant issues at all hours.
