Eagle Creek Renewable Energy LLC is seeking a Hydro Plant Technician to support hydroelectric plant operations and water intake systems, with safety and regulatory compliance at the forefront. Expect a 40-hour week with on-call responses, plus a rotating schedule featuring weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include inspections, unit startups/shutdowns, safety monitoring, equipment operation, and coordinating contractors. Strong emphasis on communication and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience in a power plant or industrial setting preferred.
• Unwavering commitment to safety for employees, contractors, and the public.
• Instrumentation and control experience including PLC troubleshooting and calibration preferred.
• Ability to communicate downtime events to regional manager promptly.
• Experience with basic industrial maintenance techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily plant and intake inspections.
• Start and stop generating units per procedures.
• Conduct safety inspections and monitor security logs.
• Operate heavy equipment and assorted hand/power tools.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance for plant reliability.
• Work on rotating schedule covering weekends and holidays.
• Assist in developing plant safety and JSA procedures.
• Respond to alarms and emergent plant issues at any time.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors in their activities.
• Participate in company safety programs.
