Job summary

Energy Northwest is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for a hydroelectric project near Portland, OR. You will perform preventative maintenance, monitor operations, and handle startup/shutdown as required, including installing equipment and replacement components.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year in electrical, mechanical, operational, or instrumentation work at an industrial facility, with occasional independent decisions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of a four year trade school.
• At least 1 year of electrical, mechanical, operational, or instrumentation experience at an industrial facility.
• Capable of independent decision-making with daily direction from the Station Leader.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the plant, making operating adjustments including startup/shutdown actions as appropriate.
• Perform outage and routine plant maintenance, troubleshoot using blueprints, electrical diagrams and manuals.
• Operate pickup trucks, forklifts and perform rigging operations safely.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and basic metal work, carpentry, and servicing of support equipment at the remote site.
• Collect operational data and generate routine reports.
• Follow all applicable policies and procedures.
