Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; 2-year technical degree preferred.
• Valid Maine driver’s license required.
• Pre-employment physical examination mandatory.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing required.
• Acceptance requires completion of the Electrical Apprenticeship Training program.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydro-electric generating station main, auxiliary, and related equipment and machinery.
• Perform preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance to equipment (up to 600V).
• Maintain dams, powerhouses, gates, fish passage facilities, and related structures.
• Lead and direct other employees in maintenance activities as assigned.
• Perform switching and tagging duties in stations and substations.
• Prepare maintenance and operating reports and documents as required.
• Assist contractors and ensure safety compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Provide on-the-job training and oversee work performance.
