Job summary

Thompson Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking an Equipment Operator to join a safety-conscious team. This role supports the safe and successful execution of jobs across service lines, performing hands-on operation of hydroblasting and related equipment, and serving as a safety representative on site.

The position includes duties such as inspecting and maintaining equipment, transporting crews and gear, and ensuring compliance with safety policies and DOT requirements.

Qualifications

• Safety training required for handling operations and emergencies.
• Valid driver's license required to operate company vehicles.
• Experience operating a vacuum truck and related equipment.
• Smartphone/ELD knowledge for electronic logging and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Act as safety representative for company and customer policies and procedures.
• Operate hydroblasting and associated equipment as needed.
• Run special equipment such as Ultra High-Pressure pumps.
• Transport equipment and personnel to job sites and supervise vacuum technicians.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle logs per DOT rules.
• Provide general maintenance and field support as required.
