Eagle Creek Hydro Operations, LLC is seeking a Power Plant Operator to support the daily operation of the hydro‑electric plant and water intakes, ensuring reliability and regulatory compliance. The role involves inspections, starting and stopping units, safety monitoring, basic maintenance, and coordinating with contractors on a rotating schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience in a power plant or industrial setting preferred.
• Unwavering commitment to safety for employees, contractors and the public.
• Instrumentation and control system experience; PLC troubleshooting and calibration preferred.
• Ability to report downtime events to regional manager in a timely manner.
• Basic industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Engineering or Physical Sciences degree or vocational cert preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office for business communications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily plant and intake inspections.
• Start and stop generating units and auxiliary equipment per procedures.
• Conduct safety inspections and monitor systems; maintain logs/reports.
• Operate heavy equipment and tools including chain saws.
• Perform routine and preventive plant maintenance.
• Work on rotating schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Assist in developing plant safety procedures and JSA procedures.
• Respond to calls for emergent plant issues.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors.
• Participate in safety programs.
