Job summary

Brookfield Asset Management Inc is seeking a qualified Maintenance Planning and Coordination professional to support the safe, efficient repair and maintenance of hydroelectric facilities on the Androscoggin River. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Operations, the role focuses on planning, budgeting, and coordinating field work.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (preferred) or Military experience.
• A minimum of four years of experience in maintenance of power station equipment maintenance (including transmission, distribution and generation systems).
• Experience with reading drawings, blueprints, specifications, schematics, etc.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel) and ability to learn parts ordering software.
• Knowledge of OSHA and NFPA and environmental regulations.
• Ability to plan and administer projects and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Ensure preventative maintenance tasks are entered into the Maintenance Management program (IFS).
• Create work orders, print out preventative maintenance work packages and provide to technicians.
• Ensure all work packages are in compliance with regulatory licenses, permits, and codes of operation.
• Close out preventative maintenance work packages when complete.
• Manage maintenance and repair projects, define scope, send RFQs, select vendors, prepare safety plans, manage field execution.
• Develop station outage plans aligned with the annual maintenance schedule.
• Assist Operations Manager in developing annual budgets with upcoming maintenance scopes and numbers.
• Develop safety, environmental, operational, and maintenance procedures for field use.
• Lead reliability improvement efforts in the assigned area, including coaching field technicians.
• Plan and coordinate relay and meter testing and tracking per the compliance program.
• Respond to power system disruptions to aid in problem solving and supervise repairs.
