Job summary

Brookfield Renewable U.S. is seeking an Outage Supervisor in New York to lead outage planning for hydro turbines and coordinate maintenance projects across internal and external teams.

The role requires a mechanical/electrical engineering background, hands-on problem solving, and strong communication. Travel up to 50% statewide, with a on-call rotation and focus on continuous improvement of equipment and outages.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 3 years of project management or team lead experience preferred.
• Experience in power generation; hydro experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate unit outage planning with the field Supervisor and forecast energy production.
• Establish project scope, schedules, and budgets.
• Prepare specifications and fabrication sketches for replacement parts.
• Oversee maintenance projects and capital projects with internal and external teams.
• Develop and implement a condition monitoring program for critical equipment.
• Respond to emergencies; be on-call and support repairs.
