Job summary

IntelliPro seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead capital hydroelectric projects at a major generating facility. The role requires managing scope, schedule, budget, procurement, construction and commissioning across an integrated team.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in construction, engineering or PM with hydroelectric project exposure. Travel between Richmond, VA and Bath County, VA is expected, with field work and safety emphasis.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in construction, engineering, power generation, or project management.
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrated project management experience.
• Experience with major power generation equipment such as turbines, generators, pumps, motors, control systems, electrical/instrumentation, balance-of-plant systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydroelectric generation and dam improvement projects from concept through completion.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, forecasts, contracts, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Oversee projects involving: turbine-generator rehabilitation, wicket gate replacements, spherical valve overhauls, dam safety improvements, spillway modifications, structural repairs, balance-of-plant improvements.
• Coordinate engineering, operations, maintenance, environmental, regulatory, and contractor teams.
• Manage contractors, suppliers, commercial activities, and project negotiations.
• Ensure projects meet safety, environmental, regulatory, schedule, and financial requirements.
• Lead project meetings, stakeholder communications, reporting, commissioning, startup, turnover, and closeout.
• Manage multiple projects and effectively resolve technical and construction-related issues.
