Job summary

Sterling Industrial LLC. is seeking a Mechanical BOP Project Engineer to lead design reviews, estimating coordination, OEM coordination, and technical oversight for the mechanical scope on a large hydro EPC project in Phoenix, AZ.

You will collaborate with design consultants, estimators, and external stakeholders to ensure constructability and alignment with customer requirements. The role requires extensive experience in MEP construction, strong CAD/engineering tool proficiency, and the ability

Qualifications

University/college graduate with BS (or Master’s degree) in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in MEP construction for large power/industrial projects and demonstrated experience supporting powerhouse or BOP systems on at least two medium to large EPC power projects.

Responsibilities

Perform and review conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design for mechanical systems and equipment.
Coordinate mechanical scopes with Civil / Geotechnical and Architectural.
Interface with OEMs for integration into the project.
Support mechanical interfaces between Powerhouse, Underground works and surface facilities.
Provide Construction & Commissioning Support during execution.
Participate in testing, energizing, and commissioning support and turnover sequencing.
