Job summary

Sterling Industrial LLC. is seeking a Mechanical BOP Project Engineer in Phoenix (Tempe), AZ to lead design review, estimating coordination, OEM coordination, and technical oversight for mechanical systems on a major hydro EPC project.

You will collaborate with design consultants, estimators, and suppliers to ensure constructability and alignment with customer requirements. The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 15 years of overall experience with at least 6 years in MEP

Qualifications

BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.
Overall experience of 15 years is preferred.
Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in MEP construction for large power/industrial projects.
Experience supporting powerhouse or BOP systems on at least two medium to large EPC power projects.
Proficient CAD and MS Office for design reviews.

Responsibilities

Perform and review conceptual, preliminary, and detailed mechanical design for systems and equipment.
Coordinate mechanical scopes with Civil/Geotechnical and Architectural.
Interface with OEMs for project integration.
Support and manage mechanical interfaces between Powerhouse, Underground works and surface facilities.
Provide Construction & Commissioning support during execution.
Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, and HAZID/HAZOP sessions.
