Job summary

Qualifications

  • Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and equipment specifications.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities, manage spare parts inventory, and ensure safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation.

The Hydraulic Technician is responsible for installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining hydraulic systems and equipment to support safe, reliable drilling operations. This role provides hands - on technical expertise in hydraulic diagnostics and repairs, works collaboratively with field and shop teams, and helps ensure equipment performance through effective maintenance, inventory management, and on - call field support.

DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Commission, install, and maintain hydraulic equipment to support safe and reliable drilling operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hydraulic system issues using strong diagnostic and fluid power knowledge
  • Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, technical drawings, and equipment specifications to support assembly and repairs
  • Coordinate maintenance activities, manage spare parts inventory, and ensure equipment meets operational and safety standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, adhere to company safety requirements, and participate in a 24 - hour on - call rotation to support field operations

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • 5-10 years of hydraulic industry experience, preferably within the oilfield sector; hydraulic training or certification is an asset
  • Strong commitment to safety, with a proven ability to work safely in both field and shop environments
  • Resourceful problem solver with strong critical -thinking, decision -making, planning, and organizational skills
  • Self - motivated team player with strong leadership, communication, and relationship - building abilities
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for extended periods, and participating in a 24 - hour on - call rotation as required
