Responsibilities

Analyze and design hydraulic structures for flood control, hydroelectric, and water resources projects.
Lead project teams of structural engineers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Prepare project proposals with scopes, budgets, and schedules.
Forecast workload and schedules.
Prepare contract documents including drawings, specs, and cost estimates.
Perform engineering during construction; review shop drawings and contractor questions.
Conduct inspections and structural assessments; prepare reports.
Prepare and present technical presentations to project teams and clients.
Conduct risk analyses for hydraulic structures; identify risk and document workshops.
Manage tasks on large projects or multiple medium projects.
Review work to ensure quality against codes and criteria.
Monitor budgets and schedules; participate in business development and recruiting.
Mentor junior staff.
