Job summary

Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra (SYSO) is seeking a Programs Manager to oversee day-to-day operations for key programs including Marrowstone Music Festival, Music Youth Southeast, and SYSO on Tour. You will work with staff, coaches, and conductors to deliver exceptional experiences for students and families in a collaborative, music-centered environment.

The role emphasizes coordinating logistics, budgeting, and outreach, with a hybrid schedule and some evenings/weekends required.

Qualifications

• BA or equivalent work experience in education.
• 3-5 years of experience in an educational setting.
• Experience working with public schools, school districts, and community organizations.
• Experience working with students and families.
• Experience as a musician and/or music educator is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of SYSO programs and rehearsals.
• Support logistics for Marrowstone Music Festival, SYSO on Tour, and MYSE.
• Recruit and coordinate personnel, coaches, and volunteers.
• Attend and support rehearsals and concerts on Saturdays and during events.
• Assist with outreach to music educators and community partners.
