Job summary

The Cleveland Orchestra seeks a Youth Orchestra Coordinator to support COYO operations and administration, coordinating program activities and rehearsals. This role partners with the Youth Orchestra Director to ensure programs meet artistic and educational standards.

Responsibilities include auditions, concerts, masterclasses, and tours, with scheduling, communications, and on-site event support for students, families, coaches, and guest artists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in music, music education, arts administration or related field is required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in music education or youth ensemble administration.
• Experience coordinating rehearsals, performances, or event logistics.
• Experience working with students, families, musicians, and educators in educational or performance settings.

Responsibilities

• Support COYO rehearsals, concerts, auditions, retreats, tours, and special events.
• Coordinate logistics, schedules, communications, and on-site support for participants and staff.
• Provide rehearsal and performance support including stage readiness and musician coordination.
• Assist the Youth Orchestra Director with day-to-day program administration and operational needs.
• Coordinate COYO chamber music activities and educational programming.
