Job summary

Community Solutions is seeking a Workforce Development Facilitator to support staff development and external partners through in-person and virtual training. The role emphasizes inclusive, trauma-informed practices and a flexible hybrid schedule, with commuting distance to Gilroy, CA headquarters.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in training, strong facilitation and presentation skills, and the ability to engage diverse groups.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in training, education, or related field.
• Spanish speaking preferred.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.
• Experience with virtual training platforms and technology.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Regularly facilitate training sessions on various behavioral health, mental health topics, and workforce development skills topics for different audiences and participant backgrounds.
• Assist in creating, developing, and updating training materials, such as slide decks, curricula, facilitator's guides, activities, handouts, and other learner resources.
• Facilitate workshops, seminars, and group training sessions both in-person and virtually for Community Solutions staff members and external partnerships who request training.
• Provide support and guidance to participants during and after training sessions, answer participant questions with diplomacy, professionalism, and tact
• Assess the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback, evaluations, and follow-up activities.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in behavioral health and training methodologies, grounded in adult learning theory.
• Facilitate New Employee Orientation (NEO) and New Internship Orientation, serving as first point-of-contact to welcome new employees
• Coordinate logistics for employee/community engagement initiatives as assigned.
• Collaborate with the CS Learning leadership and other team members to identify training needs and opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and evaluations.
• Assist in marketing and promoting training programs to the community and potential participants.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Lead by example and foster a team culture that promotes professional development and learning.
• Ensure that diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging principles are integrated into course materials, learning platforms, and interactions with team members and workshop participants.
• Willingness to take initiative, high self-motivation, and ease of working independently or as part of a team.
• Assist with other department projects as assigned.
