Job summary

Triangle seeks a Workforce Development / Employment Specialist to support a diverse caseload of job seekers. The role involves career planning, case management, job development, and assistance with applications, resume writing, and interview preparation.

You will help remove barriers to employment and connect clients with training opportunities. Hybrid work arrangement includes remote and Lowell on-site collaboration, with regular in-person community meetings and online sessions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Language skills highly preferred.
• Experience in the field preferred.
• Must have valid driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
• First Aid and CPR or willingness to become certified.
• Must clear state and federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Supports a diverse caseload of job seekers with career advancement support such as career planning, case management, job development and help with applications.
• Helps clients with job search, resume and cover letter writing, and maintaining employment through coaching and follow-up.
• Identifies training opportunities to meet vocational goals and assists with navigating barriers to employment (transportation, childcare, housing, etc.).
• Creates an inviting job search environment, meeting in person or via online platforms like Zoom.
• Tracks job leads and maintains regular communication with referring counselors and community partners.
• Documents services provided and prepares monthly reports consistent with department procedures.
