• Strong investigation, evaluation and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigates claims and coverage by contacting insureds, claimants and providers.
• Evaluates reserves and adjusts them based on facts and company policy.
• Negotiates settlements and coordinates with counsel as needed.
• Communicates with medical resources, managed care and employers for RTW plans.
• Writes clear, factual notes in claims files and correspondence.
• Maintains diary and mail management; delivers excellent customer service.
