Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Associate Attorney specializing in Workers' Compensation for our North Carolina offices. You will represent clients from initial consultations through final resolution, researching cases, drafting pleadings, and negotiating settlements.

The ideal candidate has a JD, admission to the NC State Bar, at least 2 years of workers' compensation experience, and a strong ability to manage a large caseload while delivering clear, persuasive advocacy.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the North Carolina State Bar and in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of workers' compensation experience, insurance defense preferred.
• Strong research, negotiation and writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Representing clients in all aspects of workers' compensation cases, from the initial consultation to the final resolution.
• Conducting thorough case research and investigation, gathering evidence, and developing strong legal strategies.
• Preparing and drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
• Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve cases efficiently and favorably.
• Presenting cases at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, providing strong and effective advocacy for our clients.
• Staying updated on current laws, regulations, and industry trends related to workers' compensation and insurance defense.
• Collaborating with team members, paralegals, and other staff to ensure a high level of client service and satisfaction.
