Jobot is seeking a talented workers' compensation defense attorney to join our Charlotte, NC office on a hybrid schedule. You will manage a comprehensive defense caseload, conduct legal analysis, and develop strategic responses across all phases of claims handling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of workers' compensation defense experience.
• Experience handling cases before the Workers' Compensation Commission.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and proactively.

Responsibilities

• Manage comprehensive workers' compensation defense caseload.
• Conduct thorough legal analysis of incoming and existing claims.
• Perform detailed case investigations and medical record analysis.
• Handle all phases of discovery, including drafting pleadings and motions.
• Conduct depositions of parties, lay witnesses, medical professionals, and experts.
• Prepare for and argue cases before the Workers' Compensation Commission.
• Maintain relationships with insurance adjusters, risk managers, and corporate clients.
• Draft briefs, motions, and legal arguments supporting client positions.
