Job summary

CorVel is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Supervisor in a hybrid role based in the United States. The position oversees a claims team, ensures adherence to regulatory requirements, and supports the Claims Manager with recruitment and staff development.

Strong leadership and communication skills are essential. Applicants should have at least 5 years of WC claims experience and hold a current Workers’ Compensation license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ workers’ compensation claims handling experience.
• Current license or certification in Workers’ Compensation claims.

Responsibilities

• Supervises WC claims staff in day-to-day operations.
• Assists Claims Manager with recruitment, interviewing, onboarding new staff.
• Ensures staff compliance with Workers’ Compensation laws and reporting requirements.
• Provides training, coaching and regular performance evaluations; recommends merit-based actions.
• Guides staff on complex compensability, investigation, litigation issues and service account instructions.
• Acts as liaison for final resolutions for clients and employees.
• Participates in customer claim reviews and presentations.
• Overnight travel and meetings as required.
• Additional duties as assigned.
