Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Workers' Compensation Claims professional to investigate and manage claims from start to finish. The role supports brands, distribution centers and vendors with proactive risk management and timely communications.

The position offers a flexible hybrid schedule with one in-person day and four remote days, located in Salisbury, NC or Quincy, MA, and requires authorization to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Licensed adjuster or ability to obtain license in jurisdiction.
• Bachelor's degree or 4 years WC claims experience.
• Thorough knowledge of workers' compensation rules and procedures.
• Knowledge of medical terminology involved in complex claims.
• Strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage WC caseload within established targets with thorough investigations, evaluations, negotiation and disposition of all claims.
• Monitor and ensure timely execution of statutory deadlines or legal filings as needed.
• Analyze the facts of loss to understand claim nature and develop strategies to minimize Total Cost of Risk.
• Identify fraud indicators and actively pursue subrogation opportunities.
• Collaborate with Safety to identify hazards and reduce risks in retail and distribution operations.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers including brands, vendors, and attorneys.
