Job summary
Goodwin Recruiting partners with a growing global organization to hire a Systems & Resilience Engineer for its Chicago western suburbs Technology team. This hands-on role focuses on reliability, availability, and resilience of an enterprise Microsoft infrastructure.
You will manage Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, backup and DR, and contribute to modernization while supporting a hybrid cloud transition.
Qualifications
- 3 to 7+ years enterprise systems administration or infrastructure experience.
- Strong Windows Server administration, AD/GP knowledge.
- Hands-on VMware experience and server virtualization.
- PowerShell proficiency and disaster recovery experience.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and support Windows Server environments.
- Administer AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP, file services and access controls.
- Manage and support VMware virtualization environments.
- Monitor server performance, capacity, availability, and health.
- Support backup, replication, DR, and system restorations.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure alerts, outages, OS issues, and performance problems.
- Perform root-cause analysis and provide advanced Level 2/3 support.
- Automate tasks using PowerShell and maintain docs/recovery guides.
- Collaborate with Technology teams across regions; support hybrid cloud transition.
