Job summary

Global Technical Talent is seeking a Windows Engineering Manager for the Reston, VA area with hybrid work options (3 days on-site). You will lead the Windows endpoint platform engineering, delivery, and operations, guiding a team of 8–10 desktop engineers and coordinating with Infrastructure, Security, and Enterprise Operations to deliver scalable solutions.

Responsibilities include driving Windows strategy, OS lifecycle, automation initiatives, and ensuring secure, reliable, and compliant

Qualifications

6 years in IT engineering with leadership responsibilities.
Hands-on Windows expertise in large enterprise environments (deployment, imaging, troubleshooting, lifecycle).
Expert-level SCCM/MECM and Intune experience.
Strong understanding of VDI technologies and integration with endpoints.
Ability to automate with PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting.
Knowledge of endpoint security best practices and networking concepts.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering, delivery, and operational support of enterprise Windows endpoint platform.
Drive end-user computing strategy, ensuring secure, compliant Windows environments.
Oversee platform health, service quality, and operational stability; accountability for strategic initiatives.
Lead a distributed team of 8–10 desktop engineers across locations; partner with Infrastructure, Security, Network teams.
