Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced senior IT operations engineer for a 6-month contract in Media, PA. Role requires four days on-site and one remote day (typically Friday) with flexibility.

Strong expertise in Windows, SCCM, desktop support, and Intune; advanced imaging, Autopilot, and MDM/MAM required. You will own daily operations across corporate and store environments, drive automation, ensure security standards, and coordinate with stakeholders for system deployments and lifecycle

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing a modern corporate computing environment.
• Experience developing support processes and creating technical documentation.
• Advanced Windows troubleshooting expertise.
• Hands-on imaging with Windows Autopilot (zero-touch/light-touch provisioning).
• MDM/MAM platforms for company-owned and BYOD devices.
• Experience with Ivanti Endpoint Manager, SCCM/MECM, and Intune.
• Experience supporting 500+ locations in large enterprises.
• Active Directory and Entra ID across multiple domains.
• Senior-level engineering in modern workplace tech with a focus on support.
• Strong scripting and automation: PowerShell and Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the SME for modern workplace technologies and lead design, testing, delivery, and operations.
• Own daily operational support for corporate and store environments, including tickets and docs.
• Evaluate technologies and provide recommendations based on business needs.
• Apply and enforce IT security standards across solutions.
• Manage systems with high responsibility and decision making authority.
• Analyze and improve system design, configuration, hardware, software, and utilities.
• Implement and maintain automation, monitoring, and infrastructure tools.
• Support, maintain, and troubleshoot infrastructure components and document resolutions.
• Develop processes to keep corporate devices on approved OS, firmware, configurations.
• Partner with stakeholders to plan new systems and enhancements.
• Provide project estimates and timelines to leads and PMs.
• Contribute to infrastructure strategy and deployment planning.
• Prevent unauthorized changes and produce audit reports.
• Manage asset inventory and build relations with field engineers and vendors.
• Drive technical standards and continuous service improvements.
• Follow production support processes and maintain system availability.
• Support operational reporting and meet SLAs.
• Stay current on emerging tech and expand capabilities.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
