Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies in Oakland, CA is seeking a hands-on Windows Engineer/SME for a hybrid role (1 day onsite per week on Tuesdays) to support enterprise Windows infrastructure and automation initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of Windows administration experience, strong SCCM/MECM expertise, and advanced PowerShell scripting skills to drive OS deployments, patching, and secure configurations across large environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise Windows administration experience.
• Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025 environments.
• Experience managing Windows Gold Images.
• Hands-on SCCM/MECM administration.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting skills.
• Experience with OS deployment and patch management at scale.
• Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale server and endpoint infrastructures.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, administer, and support enterprise Windows Server environments.
• Build, maintain, and enhance Windows Gold Images for servers and VDI.
• Perform OS deployment, upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, and remediation.
• Troubleshoot complex operating system, performance, and infrastructure issues.
• Manage Active Directory integrations, Group Policies, and Windows security configurations.
• Administer MECM/SCCM, software distribution, patch management, and compliance reporting.
• Develop PowerShell automation for provisioning, patching, and operational tasks.
• Lead enterprise infrastructure projects (OS modernization, migrations, VDI deployments, data center transformations, cloud migrations).
• Support security hardening and regulatory/compliance activities.
