Job summary

Insight Global seeks an experienced Systems Administrator to support a hybrid environment of on‑prem Windows servers and Azure cloud technologies in the Houston area. The role emphasizes PowerShell scripting, Azure networking, and RBAC in a government‑aligned infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong Windows administration background, hands‑on Azure experience beyond VM provisioning, and comfort taking ownership of unfamiliar systems while working with another administrator to support

Qualifications

• Extensive Windows Systems Administration experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Hands‑on experience administering and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure infrastructure beyond basic VM provisioning.
• Exposure to Azure technologies including: Azure Arc, Azure Application Gateways, Azure networking and connectivity, RBAC, NSGs.
• Experience supporting hybrid on‑premises and cloud infrastructure.
• PowerShell scripting experience for systems administration and automation.
• Strong troubleshooting across Windows servers, infrastructure, and networking.
• Experience with production environments and on‑call rotations.
• Python scripting experience.
• Experience in government or regulated environments and familiarity with CMMC compliance.
• Experience with enterprise content management, policy management, or SFTP platforms.
• Background in network administration or infrastructure engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain a hybrid infrastructure of on‑prem Windows servers and Azure cloud technologies.
• Collaborate with a fellow administrator to support server infrastructure behind business‑critical applications in a government environment.
• Own unfamiliar systems with a technically capable and proactive approach.
• Participate in on‑call rotations as part of production support.
• Utilize PowerShell for automation and scripting tasks.
