Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Well Integrity Engineer for our client in East London, Eastern Cape, ZA. The role focuses on developing and enforcing robust Well Integrity Management Systems (WIMS) to safeguard well integrity throughout the lifecycle.

You will conduct risk assessments, oversee testing programs, and collaborate with drilling, completion, and production teams to ensure regulatory compliance and safer operations. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in well integrity engineering or a related field within Oil & Gas.
• Strong knowledge of well construction, completion designs, cementing, and well control principles.
• Experience developing and implementing Well Integrity Management Systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the Well Integrity Management System (WIMS) in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments and integrity reviews for wells to identify failure mechanisms and mitigation strategies.
• Oversee well integrity testing programs including pressure testing, logging, and inspections.
• Analyze well data to assess wellbore condition and advise on workovers, interventions, and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain integrity assurance processes.
