Job summary

Aquarion Water Authority (AWA) is seeking a Business Systems Analyst, IT Water Quality in Monroe, CT. This role will own and administer AWA’s LIMS system, bridging IT and environmental science to optimize sample tracking, automate laboratory workflows, manage instrument integrations, and ensure compliance for municipal water and wastewater monitoring.

The analyst will collaborate with the Water Quality department to document requirements, support reporting (EDDS, MORs), and coordinate with IT

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with LIMS and water quality systems.
• Knowledge of SAP/ABAP is beneficial.
• Hybrid schedule after initial period; based in Monroe, CT.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical owner and system administrator for AWA’s LIMS environment.
• Bridge IT and Water Quality teams to optimize sample tracking and automate workflows.
• Coordinate with external AMS providers and vendors to implement IT solutions.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for municipal water and wastewater monitoring.
• Document functional requirements and maintain SOPs, validation scripts, and change controls.
• Maintain backups, disaster recovery, and data archiving procedures.
• Provide ongoing user support and training for lab personnel.
